TRADA Technology publishes EC5 span tables

TRADA Technology has published the Eurocode 5 (EC5) version of its essential reference for designers, Span tables for solid timber members in floors ceilings and roofs for dwellings. Eurocode 5 span tables 3rd edition will provide reference tables for common timber uses, such as floor joists or rafters. The tables list the maximum span for a range of timber sections, arranged by use and strength class.rnTRADA has re-calculated the span tables to comply with Eurocodes in anticipation of the withdrawal of BS 5268 in March 2010. Under British Standards, there is specific guidance for writing span tables, BS 5268 parts 7.1 to 7.7, but this is not part of the Eurocodes approach.
