UCL Student Design Competition

Report by: Thomas Lai, North Thames Branch: This is the seventh year that the North Thames Branch (NTB) has sponsored the design competition for the final year students of University College London (UCL).rnStudents of different disciplines were grouped into six teams. Three teams worked on an airport project for the south east of England, two on airspace development above railway lines in central London and one on the redevelopment of a coastal port at Weymouth and Portland. The teams were: The site was chosen for its proximity to London, relative absence of urbanisation and good connection possibilities to existing infrastructure.
