University 'front door' breaks the thermal cycle

Newcastle University is currently investing E200M in its buildings, infrastructure and public spaces, which by 2010 will result in a massive transformation to the look of the university. Part of this transformation is a new 8000m2 Student and Administration Services Building, situated on Barras Bridge, opposite the Civic Centre.rnThe flagship five-storey, glass-fronted building (pictured) creates a welcoming 'front door' to the university and consists of a visitor centre on the ground floor. It includes extensive facilities for careers, accommodation and student wellbeing services as well as the marketing and communications directorate and development and alumni relations office.
