Metsec's lightweight high-performance purlins are supporting the roof of Morrison's new warehouse and distribution centre in Sittingbourne, Kent. The two buildings, covering an area of 920 000ft~2, are the first to be occupied at the 126 acre G. Park business park and they are expected to generate up to 1000 new jobs in the region.rnMetsec supplied structural steelwork specialists Atlas Ward Structures Ltd with over 600t of 232mm deep Z-section purlins with spans of up 8.5m for the 'big sheds' which contain offices and a canteen as well as warehouse space.rnGazeley Ltd's G. Park development will incorporate a large range of high-tech environmental technologies. These measures will be sympathetic to the environment and reflect Morrisons long-term commitment to sustainable development.
