Increasing The International Profile Of The Institution

Council had a wide ranging discussion on the role of the Institution as an international body and the advantages and drawbacks of increasing its international profile at its 8 January meeting. As Professor David Nethercot said, introducing the debate, it is 9 years since similar discussions at Belle Isle set the agenda for the Institution to develop as an international body which has its HQ in London, a shift from its traditional UK-centred view.
