3D laser scanner acquiring new target areas

Faro Technologies UK (FARO) is finding new areas for its FARO Laser Scanner Focus3D, which produces detailed three-dimensional images of complex environments and geometries in only a few minutes. When introduced in November 2010, the laser scanner was dramatically smaller and lighter than previous scanners. The drastic change in size and competitive pricing means that 3D laser scanning is being adopted by industries that have not previously been able to use the technology.
