Institution President, Roger Plank, welcomed entrants and guests to the Institution's Structural Awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square on 18 November. The Structural Awards are the world's pre-eminent awards for structural engineering excellence. Hosted by the Institution of Structural Engineers since 1968, these annual awards celebrate the work of the most talented structural designers and their indispensable contribution to the built environment. Structural engineers work on a huge variety and range of developments, from breathtaking landmark structures to small heritage projects. The aim of the Structural Awards is to recognise and reward excellence wherever it is found.
