Africa's newest nation receives training programme to support delivery of vital aid

As South Sudan counts down to independence following January's referendum, International charity RedR has launched a new training programme that will provide life-saving skills to local relief workers in the volatile region. The programme has been developed in response to calls from the humanitarian community to equip better relief workers with the necessary skills to work safely and effectively in the Africa's newest nation, and ensure desperately-needed aid - such as food, water, shelter and medicine - reaches those who need it most.
