Christchurch NZ hit by new quakes

The city of Christchurch New Zealand, was hit by another series of strong earth tremors on June 12, just 4 months after the major devastation of an earthquake that caused the death of 181 people and damaged thousands of buildings. The extent of the damage was relatively minor on this occasion, by comparison. Nevertheless, 50 000 people were left without water and power overnight and around 10 people were injured with six serious enough to be taken to hospital.
