Part L 2010 - where to start: an introduction for house builders and designers

NHBC Foundation, in collaboration with the Zero Carbon Hub, has launched a new guide to help house builders and designers understand the October 2010 edition of Approved Document L1A (Part L 2010). With carbon emissions from housing contributing 27% of the UK's total, successive Governments have shown a commitment to the 2016 zero carbon target for new homes. The overall aim of the revisions to Part L - to achieve a 25% improvement in C02 emissions relative to Part L 2006 requirements - is an important step towards that target.
