This issue features an update from the Structural Engineers Registration Ltd (SER) board that details the background to, and progress of, the company since its launch in 2004. We've also been fortunate enough to be able to include an almost up-to-the-minute report from Jason Ingham, David Biggs and Lisa Moon, based on the performance of unreinforced masonry buildings during last month's earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. Girish Dravid of Sterling Engineering Consultancy Services reports on a major residential development in Mumbai.
