Director General of The British Constructional Steelwork Association, Dr Derek Tordoff, is to retire after 35 years with the Association, 27 of them in the top job. Dr Tordoff has led the BCSA during a successful period for the ￡3000IWyear UK steel construction sector, as it came to dominate the market for single and multi storey building frames, become the default option for railway bridges and capture a still growing share of the road bridges market.
