Educational Trust Travel Award accepting applications

The "Educational Trust Travel Award" (formerly the Pai Lin Li Travel Award) provides grants to members who are keen to experience structural engineering on an international scale. Applications are open to those who are interested in spending up to six weeks studying structural engineering abroad. The award provides grants of between ￡1,000 and ￡3,000 and recipients spend time outside their own country studying current practice or trends related to the use of any construction material in the field of structural engineering. However, The Educational Trust is particularly keen to encourage take-up of the award in relation to innovative materials and construction techniques.
