Civil and structural engineering specialist, JPG, are providing a full range of structural engineering services to support the building design, as well civil engineering solutions to support the projects external works and the necessary transport infrastructure. The site will become home to a number of businesses, with Japanese warehousing giant, Vantec, investing £22.5 million to house its car parts logistical operation on site, creating a further 230 jobs in the Sunderland area. Chancellor George Osborne said: "I am delighted Vantec are breaking ground on the North-East enterprise zone, building on the success of Nissan in the area and cementing the export orientated manufacturing base of the region.
