CARES ACHIEVES ACCREDITATION FROM UKAS

On the 22nd June, CARES received notice from UKAS, the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, that CARES achieved accreditation for its CARES Sustainable Reinforcing Steel certification scheme against the requirements of BS8902:2009, Responsible Sourcing sector certification schemes for construction products. This accreditation makes the CARES scheme the only sustainability certification scheme independently accredited by UKAS and the only one accredited to this British Standard. The CARES scheme covers the entire supply chain of reinforcing steel, from its manufacture through processing and delivery to site.
