The Saints Stadium Bridge, St Helens

Crossing the busy A58, the Saints Stadium Bridge allows easier access between the new rugby league stadium and St Helens town centre. In order to give the structure symbolic status, viewed from above, the steel arches on the bridge are shaped like a rugby ball, which is more than apt for a town synonymous with the sport of rugby league.
