Steelwork contractor requirements for CE Marking

In order to be able to CE Mark the fabricated structural steelwork that they produce, steelwork contractors are required to declare performance to the System 2+ level of assessment (as described in Annex V of the CPR). This requires them to undertake: 1. initial type-testing of the product 2. Factory Production Control (FPC), which will include 2.1 implementation of FPC system procedures 2.2 appointment of a responsible welding coordinator (RWC) 2.3 implementation of welding quality management system (WQMS) procedures 3. further testing of samples taken at the factory in accordance with the prescribed test plan
