How to implement BIM (and the costs of implementation)

The push from the UK Government to introduce Level 2 BIM on all centrally procured government construction projects by 2016, has focused the UK construction industry into implementing BIM throughout the supply chain, including designers, fabricators and contractors. Implementation of BIM needs to be controlled around a well prepared strategy and project execution plans. The implementation costs need to include recruitment, training, and purchase of appropriate hardware and software platforms.
