A chance to get involved

It is hard to believe that a year has passed since I sat down to write my first Editorial. A glance at this year's issues on my desk shows that we have covered a wide range of topics: from contractual risks and liability to structural failure, from concrete design to the use of structural timber and how to approach historic structures. We have also published 13 Features and nine Project focus articles. All of this year's articles are available in The Structural Engineer online archive, which members are encouraged to make use of, along with the Institution's other resources, such as the Library and Information Services. In 2016, we plan to bring you more regular updates on the Library, including the e-library service mentioned by Chief Executive, Martin Powell, as well as incrementally developing the magazine in other ways.
