IN LAST MONTH'S ISSUE, we shared an overview of responses to the reader survey that ran earlier in the year. While it's encouraging that your feedback was highly positive in the main, I'm keen to ensure that The Structural Engineer remains relevant and reflects the range of work that members carry out as far as possible. The greatest demand is for technical guidance which can be put to practical use (and I hope you've enjoyed the articles on reuse of existing structures in recent issues), but this survey - and others before it - highlighted a desire to see more smaller, mainstream projects featured that readers can learn from.
