Thomism and the God of the Philosophers (2005), in which he defended a strongly Aristotelian interpretation of Aquinas's metaphysics as culminating in a natural theology that prepares the ground for the reception of the Christian faith. There are other works on a range of topics, including two thick volumes on the history of ancient and medieval philosophy and a number of introductory presentations of the thought of Aquinas intended for a wider audience, especially his characteristically playful First Glance at Thomas Aquinas:
