Europäische Normungen zu Betonschwellen undSchienenbefestigungs-konstruktionen

Auf der Grundlage Europäischer Baustoffnormen und, von Forschungsberichten des Europäischen Eisenbahn-Forschungs-Institutes (ERRI) haben Arbeitsgruppen des Technischen Komitees CEN/TC 256 „Eisenbahnwesen-Oberbau" Schlußentwürfe für europäische Normen über „Gleis- und Weichenschwellen aus Beton" und zu „Schienenbefestigungssystemen" vorgelegt. Die Erfüllung der Forderungen beider Normenkomplexe entscheidet künftig über die europaweite Anwendung dieser Bauteile bzw. über die Zulassung von Neuentwicklungen.%Based on European building material standards and ERRI (European Railway Research Institute) research, working groups from the CEN/TC 256 Technical Committee ,,Railways/Pcrmanent Way" have submitted final drafts of European standards for "concrete track and switch sleepers" and for "rail lastening systems". Meeting the requirements laid down in these two sets of standards will in future be a prerequisite for the Europe-wide utilisation of these components and the approval of new developments. The draft CEN concrete sleeper standard spectfies, on the one hand, approval and acceptance testing for these sleepers and requirements as to durability of the concrete, materials used, dimensions (tolerances) and minimum overlaps, and on the other hand criteria and authorisations on the part of the buyer and proof to be furnished by the manufacturer. The draft CEN rail fastening standard contains the tests to be carried out for approval purposes and the overall system performance requirements for rail fastening systems.
