I have just commenced employment with a small airline operating twin-prop aircraft and have not received much in terms of paper work. Am I entitled to a job description and when should it be produced? It is good practice, but not a legal requirement, for your employer to give you a job description. However, under sections i and 2 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 you have a right to a written statement of particulars, which must be given to you by your employer within eight weeks of starting work.
