As many of our regular readers will have seen, The Log has evolved in many ways during the last 10 years. In 1998, we only had four pages of colour: the centre spread and the outside covers. The advent of personal computers and desk top publishing, combined with digital photography, has allowed The Log to metamorphose into what you see today.Late last year, it was decided that a review of the journal, our processes, our providers and the general layout, was necessary. A small team was set up to carry out the review and a comprehensive tender document was authored by Emma Chisholm in February and sent out to a selection of publishing companies.
