The British Airways sponsored charity 'Dreamflight', which gives seriously ill and disabled children the holiday of a lifetime, has picked up an unexpected donation from the British Airways pilot community.rnChanges were due to be made to'time away from base' pay on moving British Airways operations to Terminal 5. However, while the new payments were implemented on time, the move to T5 was delayed which meant the new reducedrnpayments came into effect too early, Following discussions with BALPA, British Airways agreed to reimburse the pilots and the underpayment amounted to £8000 across the BA pilot commu-nity. Given that the amount of money owed to each pilot was so small, the British Airways Company Council voted to donate the money to the charity 'Dreamflight', a decision that received the overwhelming support of the British Airways pilot community.
