THE LAW GETS TOUGH ON LASER ATTACKS

A third court case in the UK has handed a four-month jail sentence to a person to cause injury to pilots with a laser pen. The latest attack was on gth August at Luton Airport when Christian Webb, from Watford, aimed his laser at a B737 crew, and subsequently at the ATC tower staff. Police searched his vehicle and found a high-powered green laser pointer, which he had bought while on holiday abroad.The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to "recklessly and negligently acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft and its passengers".
