BACK FROM THE DEAD

The Air Rescue Museum based inTucson,-Arizona, has restored to full flying condition a Grumman HU- 16B Albatross aircraft. Its first flight was made on 14th March 2011. The Albatross was towed from the 'boneyard'tothe Davis-Monthan AFB. The aircraft then taxied under its own power for the first time in 30 years. It then took off and flew to its new home at Avra Valley. It spent the next three days flying in the local area, culminating in three water landings on Lake Roosevelt.
