recently operated to San Diego (SAN). It is an interesting destination with a big inset threshold to runway 27 because of a car park on short finals. This car park means they cannot have an ILS, so we have to settle with a localizer-only approach. I had not been to SAN for many years and, remembering it was a tricky place, I thought I would do my homework.
