Double blow for North Sea pilots

The helicopter accident in Norway at the end of April was a huge shock to all pilots, particularly those on the North Sea. We have sent our sincere sympathies to our Norwegian colleagues on behalf of all British pilots. Our particular thoughts are with the family of Olav Bastiansen, who was well known to many of us and, for a long time, was the chairman of the CHC pilot coordinating group, which sought to build solidarity across the many CHC contracts.
