Data of studying the influence of the natural background radiation on growth and development of plants are presented. It has been shown that the natural background radiation has an influence on germinating ability of plant seeds, on chlorophyll synthesis process in plants and on activity of their assimilation CO_2 from the air. It has been proven that the ionizing radiation of natural background actively affects vital functions of plant organisms. Its decrease and increase are malign for an organism.
