NUI Galway students provide research for Volvo Ocean Race event planning

The 'Let's Do It Galway' team, the organisation set up following the city's successful bid to host a stopover in the Volvo Ocean Race, has worked with NUI Galway students to develop a comprehensive safety management plan for the harbour area during the event.rnThe safety planning and management for this event includes research contributions by NUI Galway postgraduate students Michelle Gaffney and Mark Lombard as part of their Higher Diploma in Applied Science.
