Minister Lenihan signs cooperation programme on science and technology with India

Conor Lenihan TD, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, together with Dr Thirumalachari Ramasami, Secretary, Indian Department of Science and Technology, recently signed a Programme of Cooperation on Science and Technology, at a meeting in Dublin. Under this programme, Ireland and India will cooperate on a range of research areas such as sustainable energy, medical sciences, information and communications technology and food science. This programme implements a government-to-government agreement with India on science and technology agreed during a visit of the Taoiseach to India in January 2006.
