ESBI project in Tanzania reaches major milestone

The US-Government funded Millennium Challenge Account Tanzania (MCA-T) has awarded a contract for the installation of a new 132kV submarine inter-connector from mainland Tanzania to Zanzibar Island and associated works to Japanese power cable company, Viscas Corporation. The installation of the cable and associated electric power line is part of an extensive energy project in Tanzania, funded by MCA-T, that ESB International (ESBI) has been working on since 2008 as consulting engineer and EPC construction supervisor.
