Cost reductions for offshore wind will have to reach 30-40 per cent in order to reach sustainable levels, longer term. The Dutch firm 2-B Energy, formed in 2007, has taken this very seriously and has brought together a team of front line engineers and experienced professionals to develop and commercialise a new, tailored offshore wind design.
