EDS stakes billion-dollar claim on the PLM frontier

Eds has taken full control of design and engineering software specialists UGS and SDRC, merging them into a $lbn new division specialising in product lifecycle management. The IT giant successfully completed the acquisition of SDRC and the 14% of UGS it did not already own, paving the way for the creation of a new fifth business line Acalled EDS PLM Solutions.
