Matter of course

In response to the letter from Graham Loakes in The Engineer, 27 July, I fully support his statement that the engineering community has to invest more time inspiring young learners about the exciting world of engineering.rnIn case engineers were not already aware of the fact, then they should look into promoting and getting involved in delivering the new Engineering Diploma.rnThis is a new qualification being introduced in England for 14-19 year olds in secondary schools and colleges. The diploma is much more than work experience. Its aim is to bring learning about engineering to life in the classroom.
