In the current economic climate, the UK needs to concentrate its efforts on promoting its advanced engineering companies, encouraging them to explore new markets abroad and also to attract new business into the UK.rnThe UK's advanced engineering sector makes a significant contribution to the UK's economy, accounting for around 13 per cent of its GDP in 2007. Much of this success is generated by overseas business, with exports of goods and services from the sector exceeding ￡109 billion in 2007.
