Philips is to commercialise digital technology aimed at easing the workload of pathologists detecting cancer in tissue samples.rnThe company will be introducing digital pathology systems for sale in the US in October. This follows an announcement by Siemens in July that it will be partnering with Dako, a Danish specialist in tissue-based cancer diagnostics, to integrate image-analysis technology into its future digital pathology systems.
