Using solar-radiation management (SRM) to alter climate is unlikely to work on a pan-global level.rnThis is claimed by Carnegie Mellon University researchers who studied more than 50 SRM scenarios. SRM involves placing fine particles in the stratosphere to reflect sunlight and cool the Earth.rn'We found that the best interventions for India and China are different, and that those differences increase as time goes by and more and more carbon dioxide enters the atmosphere,' said Carnegie's Katherine Ricke.
