Siemens Energy has secured an order from DONG Energy to supply 111 wind turbines for what will be Denmark's largest offshore wind-power plant. When fully operational, the 400MW Anholt Offshore Wind Farm project will provide energy for approximately 400,000 households. This is said to equal approximately four per cent of Denmark's total power consumption.rnThe turbines will have a capacity of 3.6MW and a rotor diameter of 120m. They will be produced at Siemens' plant in Brande, Denmark, and installed 20km off the northeastern coast of the country's Jutland peninsula. The wind farm is expected to be commissioned in 2013.
