Mori Seiki has started to take orders for the NHC 10000 DGC high-speed, high-precision horizontal machining centre, capable of handling items with diameters up to 2,000mm by 1,600mm in height, weighing up to 3,000kg. It can achieve a roundness of 2.12μm, with traverse rates of 50m/min -approximately two-and-a-half times faster than conventional machines, according to the company.
