LG Motion will be showcasing its high-precision linear and rotary tables at the Southern Manufacturing 2011 event in February. The Hampshire-based motion-control component manufacturer and supplier will be highlighting its range of moving coil linear slide actuators provided by SMAC Europe. The group claims that these actuators are unique in force, position and speed. The LAS series has a standard position resolution from five microns to 0.1 microns and stroke lengths of up to 100m. It has been designed to replace lead screw, ball screw and linear motor drive actuator technologies for automated high-speed, precision positionincr applications.
