摘要

The current trend in building design for incorporating large, open-plan offices and extensive communal spaces means that it is very difficult to properly regulate air quality and nigh on impossible to keep everyone happy at all times. One way to tackle this predicament is to introduce some objectivity into the equation. Sensors have been used before in this context, but a new approach based on the level of carbon dioxide (CO2) expelled by occupants promises a truly demand-controlled system.
