We used to have radiators that stored heat and released it when needed. The only problem was if you wanted heat at different times. You wouldn't think it would be beyond the realm of technology to have a battery or capacitor to store off-peak or renewable electricity. Electricity storage would certainly overcome the main drawback of wind power and also solar power, i.e. they aren't 24 hour and rely on sunshine and wind. But oil, gas and coal plants won't work without oil and gas and coal either. So what happens when these begin to dwindle?
