The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles has approved Google's licence application to test autonomous vehicles on roads in the state. It is the first licence issued in the US under new laws and regulations enacted by Nevada's legislature and Department of Motor Vehicles. Google was the first company to file an application with the department to test its autonomous system. Automotive manufacturers are similarly interested in testing their technology in Nevada.
