There's a difference between education and training. It's a statement that most people would agree with - but not everyone agrees what that difference is.The question arises because of the government's downgrading of the engineering diploma. Incorporating maths, science, design and technology the diploma was designed to be studied from age 14 to 19, for about 20 hours per week, and was deemed to be equivalent to five GCSEs.
