摘要

Unlike at most career fairs, you won't find companies looking to hire lawyers and accountants at the Graduate Engineer and Science Show. But that doesn't mean you should turn up unprepared and expect to be handed a job. As with all recruitment events, it's best to do your research first and arrive with at least a vague plan in mind. To prevent you wasting time asking every company the same obvious questions and then forgetting the answers, the show's organisers have already done the leg work for you and covered the basic key facts for every exhibiting firm in the event brochure. This gives you the chance to think of some more detailed questions that will really help you understand the way each company works and whether they'd be a good fit for you. 'Think about your own specific skills, your own specific interests,' said the show's co-founder Ken Davies. 'Look on the website to see who's going to be there and do some research into the kind of work they do.
