Welsh government plans to give public bodies a duty on sustainability are proving complex. A planned sustainable development duty for Welsh public bodies risks delivering worthy thoughts without results, accord ing to consultation respondents. The Welsh government published pro posals for the duty in a May consultation on its planned sustainable development bill, which will require public bodies to make sustainability their "central organis ing principle" (ENDS Report 448, p 31).
