Should, as expected, Tory party members choose Boris Johnson over Jeremy Hunt as their new leader, his arrival at Number 10 will come at a critical juncture for the environment. Brexit remains unresolved and the government must now put in place the policy framework to deliver net-zero emissions by 2050.
