Sacmi consolidates beverage arm

Italian drinks plant manufacturer Sacmi Imola is to merge its filling, labelling and packaging activities into a single Beverage Division. It says the move is a response to the economic crisis and the contraction in the international markets. rnSacmi Imola will be acquiring the minority shares of subsidiaries Sacmi Filling and Sacmi Labelling and investing 50 million euros (US$64m) in rnmachine tools and production facilities to enable the integration of the operations at its Imola headquarters.
